Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing and educating young children, providing a safe and engaging environment that fosters growth and development. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and experiences of our students, ensuring their social, emotional, and cognitive skills are developed to their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging and educational activities for toddlers and preschoolers, including arts, crafts, music, and physical education
- Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that promotes social interaction, exploration, and learning
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Observe and assess children's development and progress, providing individualized support and feedback
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of each child's daily activities, meals, and milestones
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the daycare's curriculum and policies
-Assist in cleaning classrooms, play areas, etc.
Skills
- Experience in caring for and teaching children from infancy to preschool age
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques and strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in classroom management and supervision
- Experience in childcare and/or daycare management
- Understanding of childhood development and the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment
- Ability to work with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Certification in early childhood education or a related field is preferred but not essential
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.50 per hour
