Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join our Accounting Department. This key role involves managing all accounts receivable and donations receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in financial transactions. The representative will collaborate with internal teams and liaise with donors and customers to maintain an excellent ministry image.
Responsibilities include:
- Create accurate customer and donor accounts.
- Resolve disputes on outstanding transactions, applications of transactions, and maintenance of source documents.
- Maintain daily accounts receivable balance updates for reconciliation and historic records.
- Process checks, cash, credit card, EFT, ACH and wire donations and payments. Maintain adequate files for audit purposes.
- Record all stocks gifts, as well as gifts in kind, and receipts as appropriate.
- Record into the accounting software all customer and donor payments, financial donation transactions, account information updates, tax receipting processing, and pledge capture and acknowledgement.
- Research donation fund application and validate proper application of funds.
- Operate as an advocate for the ministry in any donation transaction with donors and staff in coordination with the Accountant position and Major Donor Representatives, when appropriate.
- Interact with donors and customers to demonstrate a professional ministry image in all transactions with helpfulness and friendliness.
- Develop knowledge of ministry programs and activities, in order to present and clarify areas of ministry funding needs to existing and new donors.

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable/Donation Processing.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Knowledge of and ability to cross-train others in the Accounting Department in Accounts Receivable and Payroll procedures as back-ups for vacation or for high-income months like year-end.
- Knowledge of and cross-trained in Customer Services activities, Purchasing, and Travel activities.
