What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Care Technician - Part Time position at Family HealthCare?
The Environmental Care Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment within the healthcare facilities by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Duties include but not limited to; emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, using brooms, mops or other machines.
- Cleans and disinfects fixtures, furniture, floors, walls, sinks, toilets, waste containers and equipment in assigned work area.
- Gathers and disposes of trash and waste material using appropriate bags and containers.
- Replenishes area with supplies of soap, papers, and other cleaning supplies as needed.
- May be responsible for the following locations to clean but not limited to; exam rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Support the organization as needed
- Performs other duties as requested
- Participates in departmental or organizational meetings and trainings
- Demonstrates ability to use equipment relevant to the position
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment (desired)
Schedule:
Part-Time: Mondays/Tuesdays - 8 hours each day and fill in as-needed rest of week
This role may be required to work in other locations.
