Qualifications:
- Required: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or relevant human services experience (paid/volunteer work with children, domestic violence, or sexual assault survivors)
Position Details:
- Position: Advocate - Sheltering & Housing (Part-Time, 3rd Shift)
- Hours: Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
- Pay: $27.05/hour
- Location: Scott County, IA
- Responsibilities: Provide trauma-informed case management, shelter services, housing advocacy, emotional support, and crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and violent crimes. Participate in the on-call shelter backup rotation.
- This position requires completion of training and onboarding during regular business hours for the first few weeks, after which it transitions to the 3rd shift schedule.
