Family Services is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to be responsible for the coordination and general functioning of the Maintenance Department, including conducting performance evaluations of assigned team members.
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- Participate in the maintenance, repair and/or replacement of the agency-owned and leased buildings, systems, equipment and grounds.
- Coordination of cleaning, lawncare, snow removal, etc. with contractors.
- Provide supervision of the Maintenance Specialist, including recruitment, coaching, preparing reviews, and training.
- Management and the procurement of new properties and/or renovations
- Recordkeeping for inspections, compliance, and inventory control.
- Adherence with purchasing guidelines and audit trails.
- Ensure a safe, trauma informed environment to all staff and guests that enter any of our facilities in Northeast Wisconsin.
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5 years' work experience in maintenance of buildings, systems, vehicles, safety and risk management. A technical degree or certification in maintenance or related field and 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred. Qualified candidates must have the ability to assume authority in a constructive manner, be able to be given and follow directions to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion, be able to coordinate and manage multiple tasks, and be self-motivated and able to work well independently. This position requires good communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong time and records management skills. Physical requirements for this position are Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 pounds); perform repetitive motions for extended periods; comfort working on elevated platforms, ladders and scaffolding as necessary. Ideal candidates should be able to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Familiarity with maintenance management software, building automation software, and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desired. Candidates must be willing to respond to occasional emergency calls after-hours on scheduled on-call rotation, occasionally in poor weather conditions. A valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a reliable personal vehicle, required auto insurance limits, and acceptable driving record requirements are also required for this position.
