Sales Representative

We are seeking an Inside Sales Agent who can have fun while building relationships with our customers. FGT Inside Sales Agents maintain a positive, empathetic, fun, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Agents are eager and hungry for the sale, working with customers to plan and execute their planting projects.

This is a temporary, remote-based position (Winter into Summer 2025).

Responsibilities

Inside Sales Agents will help our Sales and Customer Service teams meet sales goals and provide top-tier customer support through the following:

• Connect with customers via phone, email, and online chat to guide them in selecting the ideal trees, plants, and garden supplies for their projects.
• Support customers throughout the sales process, with a focus on closing sales by delivering personalized and engaging recommendations to set each customer up for success.
• Proactively assist customers with past orders, troubleshoot plant-related issues, and offer expert care advice with empathy and understanding.
• Collaborate with Senior Plant Experts to ensure success for each customer.
• Develop and build world-class relationships with existing and new customers.
• Proactively follow up with customers to ensure confidence and success with their growing project.
• Utilize internal systems to assist customers in the best way possible to ensure world-class customer experiences.
• Assist customers through each step of the sales process, helping them resolve concerns and questions along the way.
• Generate sales leads and follow up with leads to close sales.

Competencies and qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Based in SC, NC, TX, TN, GA, PA, FL, VA, UT (Required)
• A laptop or desktop computer (Required)
• A second monitor (Preferred)
• High-speed internet - upload speed: 10 mbps; download speed: 30 mbps. You can test your internet’s speed at https://www.speedtest.net/or through another online service (Required)
• Proficiency in computer software systems inc. Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
• 1-2 years of experience with inside sales (preferred)

Compensation and other details

Compensation for this position is set at $15.00 per hour, with opportunities for additional commission pay.

Successful candidates must provide their own equipment to perform their role effectively. This includes a laptop or desktop computer, an additional monitor, and a headset. A quiet, distraction-free workspace is essential to maintain productivity and focus. Employees may also choose to use a separate mouse and keyboard if working on a laptop.
