As a Portfolio Analytics Analyst on the MDT Investment Team, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing the drivers of portfolio performance and risk, leveraging your analytical skills to understand and explain portfolio investments through the lens of our quantitative investment model. You will work closely with members of the Investment Team and other business units to deliver accurate and timely insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Major Duties:
- Conduct detailed performance attribution and risk analyses: interpret performance and risk data; analyze portfolio characteristics to determine sources of historical performance and portfolio risk exposures.
- Leverage Python and SQL skills to maintain the proprietary attribution system and to write code that answers questions about portfolio investments.
- Craft investment, performance, and portfolio commentary by analyzing performance and other data through the lens of the quantitative investment model.
- Help create comprehensive attribution presentations, designing clear and impactful data visualizations to transform complex results into compelling stories.
- Support marketing and client service teams with client presentations, data requests and custom analyses.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent. CIPM or CFA preferred.
- Significant coursework in quantitative analysis including data science, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience or an advanced degree in business, economics, computer science or equivalent degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial markets required with knowledge of performance attribution and/or risk analysis preferred.
- Computer programming experience in Python, R, SQL or similar language. Experience in Bloomberg, FactSet preferred.
- Superior data analysis capabilities with high mathematical aptitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
