FEECO International is looking for a Shipping and Receiving individual to join our team. Shipping and Receiving will be responsible for verifying all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position requires attention to detail, organization, time management, thoroughness, and initiative.
Essential Job Functions
Shipping
- Affixes shipping labels on packed components identifying shipping information such as item numbers, description, and job numbers.
- Verify all outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specification.
- Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Assist in loading of trucks following all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate computer for shipping and receiving– Epicor and BOM
Receiving
- Assist with the unloading of trucks; moving the incoming items to designated areas.
- Receives all incoming shipments, verifying items to packing slips and PO by inspecting, counting, and measuring items received.
- Report any problems with received items to PM, Purchasing, or Quality Control
- Verify that the correlating documents are available with each shipment received
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments.
- Rejects damaged items
- Records shortages
- Corresponds with Purchasing and Project Managers to rectify damages and shortages.
- Handle returns and exchanges
- Identify and tag or mark all incoming components with Job numbers, PO number or Order number
Material Handling
- Certified forklift operator
- Use of a forklift to move material throughout shop and from shop to loading area and onto truck trailers for shipment.
- Skilled in the safe handling of heavy equipment and materials.
- Must be able to operate overhead crane
Quality Control/Inspection
- Checks assemblies with drawings verifying proper dimensions and specifications.
- Inspects in-coming materials to ensure quality materials are used to meet customer’s standards and expectations.
- Inspects completed product against specifications ensuring all aspects of quality, accuracy, and safety have been met.
- Completes all final inspection documents and turns them into the QC Department.
- Notifies the QC Department and Project Manager of any non-conformance issues. Writes up an NCR when required.
- Follows shop floor control procedures
Safety Compliance
- Trained and highly skilled in the safe handling use of various tools and equipment.
- Always work safely using Personal Protection Equipment, such as safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and other PPE as necessary to comply with safety standards policies.
- Verifies that proper lock-out/tag-out procedures and precautions have been taken prior to the any service being performed on a machine or piece of equipment.
- Attends safety meetings
Housekeeping
- Helps to maintain a clean and safe working environment by keeping work area clean and organized

Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum three years Shop experience in manufacturing environment
- Minimum of three years Shipping and Receiving experience
- Ability to operate forklift and obtain certification
