About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, mentor your team, and deliver a premium guest experience. This role combines leadership, operations, and community engagement, allowing you to support your team and guests in meaningful ways.
This is a full-time Assistant Store Manager role, reporting to the Store Manager.
What You Will Do
Team Leadership
- Build a high-performing, collaborative team throughrecruitment, training, and staff development
- Mentor staff, promote accountability, and foster adaptability
- Drive a culture of exceptional customer service to create memorable guest experiences and inspire outdoor adventures
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with the Store Manager
Store Operations
- Oversee daily operational tasks, including opening/closing, retail transactions, and loss prevention
- Partner with the Store Manager to review and optimize store performance
Community Engagement
- Build connections by supporting and participating in local store events that reflect Fjällräven's values
- Enhance guest experiences by sharing product knowledge and sustainability initiatives
Product Expertise
- Lead the team in using product knowledge to educate and inspire guests
- Ensure seasonal merchandising standards align with brand guidelines
- Support inventory management and sustainability merchandising practices
Sustainability Advocacy
- Model sustainability behaviors in daily operations
- Educate guests on programs such as the Fjällräven Down Promise and Arctic Fox Initiative
- Inspire curiosity and respect for nature within the team and the community
Who You Are

- Has at least one year of leadership experience in retail
- Demonstrates excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Thrives on delivering exceptional customer service and building strong guest connections
