Position
We are seeking a talented and creative Lead Industrial Designer to join our dynamic prototyping and design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of products that balance performance, functionality, and user interface. Working closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams, you will take a hands-on approach in creating innovative solutions for a wide range of products. You will translate user needs and business goals into tangible design concepts, ensuring products have the highest technical performance but also manufacturable and practical.
This role requires a multidisciplinary approach, combining expertise in textiles, mechanics, automotive, materials, and design. If you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy creating impactful solutions for real-world users, this is your chance to make a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced camouflage systems for military applications, integrating textiles, mechanics, and design.
- Conduct field tests, analyze performance, and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturers, and end-users to meet operational requirements.
- Adapt designs for diverse terrains and military platforms, providing creative solutions to unique challenges.
- Travel for field visits and ensure seamless implementation and feedback integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or a related field.
- 3 years of experience and a strong design portfolio.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and design tools.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Excellent creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
- Military background or familiarity with military equipment.
- Knowledge or experience working with textiles, automotive, aeronautics, space composite materials, heat transmission, aerodynamics, or off-road areas.
- Practical DFM experience and demonstrated design portfolio.
- Immediate start date.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a lab or shop environment for prototyping and testing. Hands-on prototyping is required.
- Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility needed for project deadlines or international team collaboration.
- Occasional travel required, including travel to field locations for test events, design, prototype prove out.

Pay: $67,544.38 - $81,343.77 per year
