Filtration Group is looking for a Manager of Internal Audit, reporting to the Vice President of Internal Audit. This role will be integral in partnering with various business stakeholders in ensuring that effective and efficient practices are in place as well as ensuring compliance with any regulatory requirements. This role required a high aptitude for more complex business situations and processes, detail to big picture analytical, written, and oral communication skills and highly collaborative relationship-building abilities which are necessary to provide best in class internal audit services to clients and drive results for the organization. Additionally, strong multi-project execution, management abilities, and effective supervisory skills are essential to adequately manage multiple audit teams and directly develop staff.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Internal Audit is responsible for the organization’s global risk management approach by leading audit projects in support of the global audit plan. This role is a great opportunity for someone that would find it interesting to manage multiple types of projects including consulting, assessments, audit, compliance, and investigation work. In addition to oversight of the global audit plan, the Manager will also provide input to both Management and the Vice President of Internal Audit to assess risks and determine the strategic direction and execution of the Internal Audit Department to add optimum value to the organization.

  • Executes day-to-day operations of the Internal Audit function to examine major financial, operational, and administrative risks and processes with the objective of providing an independent evaluation of internal controls, risk management, and compliance and reporting its findings and recommendations to senior executive leadership.
  • Performs / management of engagement teams and preparation / issuance of audit reports to assure that all significant risk and weaknesses in internal controls are identified and that cost-effective recommendations to address deficiencies identified.
  • Assist with attracting, hiring, and retaining a team of high-performing audit professionals who possess outstanding knowledge, experience, ethics, and integrity.
  • Consulting with all levels of management on internal control related topics or other areas of specific expertise.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Management and Board reporting.
  • Performing financial analysis and forensic auditing duties in support through staffing of assignments, mentoring, and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology from fully accredited four-year institution is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry or public accounting experience
  • Operational experience in manufacturing considered a plus.
  • CPA and/or CIA required; CISA and CFE considered a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of internal audit standards, procedures, and techniques.
  • Experience performing operational, financial, and compliance audits of processes and controls.
  • Understanding of SOX principles, including scoping, design, risk, and methodology.
  • Experience with developing and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of professional audit standards, COSO, and GAAP
  • Knowledge of IT audit concepts utilized in executing integrated audits and benefits of strong IT environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30 - 40% of the time, including international
  • Ability to understand, assess, and enhance complex business structures and processes within an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Individual should be intellectually curious, self-driven / motivated, flexible, and comfortable with “player/coach” role.
