Finatal is partnered with a well-known Private Equity Firm in search of a Vice President of Finance for one of their portfolio companies. The company is a $500mil premier provider of restoration, waterproofing, and window cleaning services headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join an fast-growing established portfolio company of a reputable private equity firm.
Reporting to the CFO, the VP Finance is responsible for directing and overseeing the financial activities of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role works directly with the business units and senior executive leadership team to drive top and bottom line value throughout the organization.
As a “hands on” leader, the VP Finance leads a team that spans the business units and corporate teams, owns all master data and systematic reporting process and accuracy, ensures tools and applications are robust, secure, customer-centered and forward looking. This position will partner with the senior executive leadership team to drive plans for the business’ future growth and aligning the people, process and investment needed to achieve the strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Ownership of the company’s forecast, budget, and reporting processes that align with the company’s short and long-term goals.
- Partner with the business units to provide financial analysis and insights to the business units and senior executive leadership team.
- Drive the company data infrastructure and capabilities through the ongoing build-out and optimization of our data cube environment.
Budget Management:
- Direct the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business unit leadership and senior executive leadership team.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance and KPIs to the business units and senior executive leadership team.
- Identify opportunities to drive top and bottom line operational efficiencies.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team across business units and corporate team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
- Act as a mentor, advisor, and “player coach,” to the finance staff and other stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with business unit leadership and senior executive leadership team.
- Liaise with auditors, and regulatory bodies when applicable.
- Provide insights and presentations to the board of directors and shareholders.
Critical Experience
The VP Finance will be experienced leading in rapidly changing environments and have most of the following experience:
- 15 years of Finance management experience; at least 5 years in a senior management leadership role partnering with the executive teams.
- Proven leadership experience building a high performing Finance team and acting as a change agent within the business.
- Proven ability to partner with the business to create an analytical, forward-thinking function that aligns with overall strategy and projected growth.
- Broad range of systems and technology leadership experience that includes CRM, ERP, data Warehouse / Lakehouse / Data Cube, visualization capabilities such as Power BI, forecasting/budgeting/reporting capabilities such as Vena.
- Experience leading a large-scale forecasting, budgeting, and reporting process of $500MM in revenue and 40 branch based businesses.
- Experience with M&A integration and consolidation of technical systems.
- In-depth CRM/ERP experience inclusive of platform assessment, integration, and consolidation.
- Relevant industry experience preferred but not required.
