Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the Varsity Girls Wrestling program.
- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to enhance athlete performance and team success.
- Foster a positive, disciplined team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, academic achievement, and personal growth.
- Coordinate and supervise practices, matches, and tournament participation.
- Manage assistant coaches, providing mentorship and clear communication of program expectations.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to ensure school, district, and state athletic policies compliance.
- Build relationships with athletes, parents, and the broader school community to encourage program support and participation.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during activities.
- Proven experience in wrestling coaching at the high school, club, or collegiate level (head coaching experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, training methods, and competition strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
- Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and school community.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass all background checks as required by Finneytown School District.
