Position: Head Coach, Boys Tennis
Location: Finneytown High School, Cincinnati, OH
Start Date: Immediately (for the inaugural season)
Overview:
Finneytown High School seeks a dedicated and motivated individual to serve as the Varsity Boys’ Tennis Coach for the upcoming tennis season. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for tennis, a commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the court and cultivating a competitive and positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices on skill development, strategy, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Develop game strategies, manage team lineups, and ensure high school league regulations compliance.
• Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, and high expectations for student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
• Supervise and ensure student-athletes’ safety during practices, matches, and other team activities.
• Monitor the academic and personal development of players to ensure they meet school and league eligibility requirements.
• Maintain and inventory equipment and supplies related to the tennis program.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience coaching tennis at the high school level or higher (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and inspire high school student-athletes.
• Commitment to upholding the values of Finneytown High School and representing the school with integrity.

Requirements:

• Ohio coaching certification or ability to obtain it before the season begins.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Availability for practices, matches, and team events, including evenings and weekends during the season.

Compensation:
Compensation is based on the district's coaching salary schedule and experience.
