Firefly Tutors is URGENTLY hiring for a BILINGUAL TUTOR fluent in UKRAINIAN and ENGLISH
IN-HOME, Experienced Tutor ONLY
Bilingual tutor for IN-HOME tutoring in Placer County and surrounding areas needed to assist k-12 students in all subject areas
MUST BE AVAILABLE SOME WEEKDAY/DAYTIME HOURS (during school hours; mornings or early afternoon)
Ideal tutor candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- FUN, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Fluent in UKRAINIAN and ENGLISH
- Tutor must be able to assist k-12 students who are English Language Learners (ELL) with variety of core subject areas (math, reading, writing, science, etc.) in English or Ukrainian
- 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions based on student's language proficiency in Ukrainian and English
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians to schedule recurring sessions.
- Collaborate with students to set achievable goals and track their development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Manage tutoring sessions effectively, ensuring a supportive and productive learning environment.
Ability to teach other subject areas a PLUS and increases earning potential
Pay is $35 per hour
1-20 hours per week
