What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yoga Instructor - Station Square position at First Ascent LLC?
FA Climbing & Fitness is seeking proactive, friendly, and experienced Yoga Instructors. Yoga is a perfect complement to climbing, and First Ascent will offer yoga classes featuring a variety of styles to our members and visitors as a part of their membership or day pass. Yoga Instructors will not only lead engaging, challenging, and fun yoga classes but also help grow the First Ascent yoga program by continually improving our yoga practice and contributing ideas for new classes.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-value yoga classes that engage members and visitors of a wide range of ability and experience levels
- Evaluate the effectiveness of your own instruction and make changes to improve member/visitor satisfaction; work closely with the Fitness Coordinator to ensure high-quality of practice
- Contribute ideas for new yoga classes, events, or collaboration.
Requirements
- Instructor certification required
- 1 year instruction experience preferred
- Climbing experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills; solid computer skills
- Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and love of yoga
- Engaging presence in front of a group; Positive attitude; Flexible working style
- Upstanding reputation in the Illinois climbing and yoga communities
Details
Yoga instructors are compensated as independent contractors on a per-class basis. Rate will depend on experience. Minimum 2 classes per week. Benefits include free membership.
