Job Description

This person shall be responsible for leading and developing a successful team of staff who embodies the service culture principals while also strategizing to meet and exceed branch and organizational goals. In addition, this person will be responsible for creating and leading a customer- centric and efficient approach to daily branch operations while also maintaining client relationships and proactively developing new opportunities that put people first. This person should possess a strong knowledgebase of banking principles that aides in their ability to satisfy the needs of clients, while also creating profitable relationships for the bank.

Qualifications: This person should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and

seven years of related experience or the equivalent. This person should have proven leadership skills that demonstrate assertiveness, integrity, empathy, agility, creativity, decisiveness, self-awareness, and gratitude. This person must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be an active listener, and a knowledgeable facilitator. This person should be a solutions-driven problem solver who is able to provide sound advice to staff, clients, and colleagues. This person should be genuinely personable, collaborative, and committed to nurturing the strengths and talents of their team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead the team and develop an atmosphere of teamwork, open communication, and unity. Provide oversight of all services offered. Actively mentor staff and ensure they are trained, evaluated, and motivated to perform their responsibilities in an effective and progressive manner.
  • Manage daily branch operations to ensure professionalism, consistency, and efficiency while building accountability within each team member.
  • Monitor and track progress of branch and Retail objectives, building and implementing coordinated efforts within the branch to achieve goals.
  • Implement changes to products, procedures, and other organizational processes, related to Retail, in a positive and effective manner that aims to create immediate buy-in and understanding from the entire branch team. Execution should include consideration for quality assurance needs.
  • Act as a liaison and partner of all Senior Leadership, non-Retail departments and organization led projects, as assigned and/or requested.
  • Ensure a positive work environment that encourages growth and feedback, builds engagement in staff, and cultivates FBT’s mission and values.
  • Exemplify superior service that satisfies the wants and needs of the bank’s clients and provides them with an experience indicative of FBT’s culture and commitment to the communities we serve.
  • Enthusiastically develop, maintain, and grow new and existing relationships that are profitable to the bank while minimizing risk.
  • Anticipate needs and advise clients on solutions that personally benefit them.
  • Be an expert and educate clients in the bank’s suite of products, services, and processes that meet both client and community needs.
  • Proactively seek direction from the Director of Retail Banking and/or other Senior Leaders to ensure daily branch operations align with organizational goals. In addition, be persistent in building strong internal relationships, collaborating often with colleagues in and outside of the Retail business line to meet client needs and or organizational growth efforts.
  • Seek community involvement and actively participate in organizations that increases bank visibility and public relationships within the community that we represent.
  • Follow Loan Policy and Guidelines, when originating, underwriting, and closing consumer business loans.
  • Monitor and maintain both the deposit and credit portfolios for quality and potential risk. If necessary, follow through on collection efforts, using all legal means as required by Loan Policy and Guidelines.
  • Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set for the in the employee handbook.
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training and all meetings as deemed appropriate by supervisor.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $77,776 and $108,885. This range is a good faith estimate for the position. The actual compensation offered to a candidate may differ based on various factors, including the individual’s relevant experience, training, skills, work location, and other considerations. For those in eligible roles, we offer incentive compensation based on individual performance. Furthermore, this role may qualify for a variety of benefits, such as Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Health Savings Accounts, 401(k)/ESOP, Paid Time Off, Flexible Work Arrangements, Paid Parental Leave and Student Loan Repayment Assistance.
