Education
•Prefer graduate degree from theological seminary
•Would consider a candidate with bachelor's degree in a related field with experience
Experience
•Prefer experience as a senior or associate/assistant pastor
Leadership
•Solution oriented
•Visionary with enthusiasm for church revitalization and the commitment to implement necessary change
•Able to minister to all ages
•Able to equip leaders of ministry teams and their members to fulfill responsibilities with accountability
Pastoral Style
•Relational
•Affirmational
Communication
•Expository preaching and teaching
•Regular and open communication with church staff and Elders
•Effective and productive interaction with ministry teams
•Periodic contact with individual church members as necessary
Pastoral Expectations
•As outlined in the First Baptist Church Constitution and By-laws (Bylaw 3•402)
•Adherence to and agreement with Statement of Faith (Article II)
