First Choice Health Centers is looking for a full-time Nurse Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the nursing staff (RN, LPN), ensuring that patient care is delivered effectively and meets established quality standards. You will be responsible for directing, organizing, and supervising daily nursing operations to support excellent patient outcomes.

- Primarily Monday through Friday schedule working 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There may be one late night until 6 pm but staff get out on Friday at 3 pm. Mandatory supervisory nursing meetings and occasional weekend training as required
- The hourly range for this position is $95,000-120,000/Annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience certifications, etc.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Experience with an electronic health record system
- Excellent leadership skills including the ability to motivate & supervise others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge and experience with primary care setting
Experience and Training:
- A minimum of 5 years of ambulatory care
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in infection prevention and control practices
- RN (BSN or MSN preferred)
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
Standard Job Duties:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to audit, promote and monitor effective infection prevention practices.
- Provides leadership and clinical support to department including day-to-day supervision of staff, including daily scheduling [Triage, PTO coverage, Saturday coverage] and providing initial orientation and ongoing education and training to nursing team.
- Assist with planning, implementation and evaluation of continuing education programs.
- Assists the Director of Clinical Services with completing employee performance reviews.
- Work collaboratively in the hiring process of new nursing staff and makes recommendations for employment.
- Support competency assessment process with nursing and clinical support staff, including completing orientation of new staff members as required.
- Manage and execute the medical orientation process to all new hires who will be working in a clinical workspace.
- Serves as a clinical leader in various projects and forums
- Ensures integration of nursing services with other patient care services in the facility and ensures nursing staff patterns are implemented
- Responsible for managing employee health process including coordinating and tracking pre-hire occupational health requirements and annual employee health requirements such as the influenza vaccine.
- Ensures smooth and efficient processing of patients in the department; ensures established quality assurance, Joint Commission, UDS standards and infection control activities are performed according to policy
- Assists the Director of Clinical Services with triage and management of employees with COVID symptoms per current CDC Guidelines
- Support the Vaccines for Children Program (CTWIZ) program over seen and run by the Director of Clinical Services. Support of nursing staff with education and trainings of program to ensure adherence and fidelity of the CT DPH Immunization Program.
- Ensure safety of vaccine inventory during inclement weather, refrigerator/freezer issues, and building challenges.
- Provides nursing care services as needed
