We are currently seeking a dynamic nurse leader with hospice experience to energetically manage the clinical operations of our hospice agency. Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage and supervise the clinical operations of the agency according to federal and state hospice guidelines
- Review and assess hospice eligibility for referrals with physician
- Respond to inquiries and referrals for hospice and palliative care
- Provide supervision to nurses on assessment, diagnosis and care plan of assigned patients
- Provide direct supervision and support to RNs and makes supervisory visits when necessary
- Review Patient Charts
- Identify need for staff education and develop in-service programs for clinical staff
- Lead and conduct Quality Assurance and Performance improvement (QAPI) meetings
- Provides staff education and training on hospice admission criteria, policies and procedures, patient care and hospice philosophy
- Lead and participate in all clinical meetings of the agency
- Prepare all regulatory reports
- Work closely with the Hospice Executive Director and Administrator to manage and implement policies and procedures related to clinical operations and sets standards for performance.
- Assume the responsibilities of the Executive Director during absence.
Qualifications
Applicant must have clinical management hospice experience. Must also possess the flexibility, creativity, and dedication required to work in a growing multicultural hospice agency.
