Our Community Manager in Training (CoMIT) program is designed to shape aspiring professionals into competent Community Association Managers. Our comprehensive program combines one-on-one mentoring with formal, in-house training sessions that focus on company-specific procedures and the certification and licensing requirements essential for your role as a Community Association Manager.
As you progress through the Community Manager Trainee program, you will be rewarded at every quarterly milestone with pay increases. Training Path
Year One Learning: During your first year in the program, you will work closely with our seasoned community administrators to understand our company procedures and the collaborative dynamics of our roles. You will also:
- Learn the ropes of community administration for a modified portfolio.
- Complete internal and external training and testing to become a fully licensed Community Association Manager.
- Dive into various departments (accounting, resale, marketing, reception & administration) to gain a holistic view of our company processes.
Year Two Advancement: In your second year, you will take on more responsibilities, managing all aspects of assigned properties. The number of properties you manage will increase progressively, providing you with valuable hands-on experience.
Training Focus Areas
Financial Acumen: Develop essential financial skills by:
- Learning to process invoices for payment.
- Reviewing financial statements.
- Addressing delinquent owners.
- Drafting annual budgets.
Property Management: Master property management by:
- Inspecting properties.
- Obtaining bids and negotiating contracts.
- Overseeing vendors and building staff.
Board Meetings: Prepare for leadership roles by:
- Learning to prepare agendas and board packets.
- Running quarterly board meetings.
