Job Title: Custodian/Groundskeeper, 30 hours/week average
Reports To: Senior Pastor

Overview:
First Congregational United Church of Christ, Sarasota, FL is an inclusive, diverse church seeking a custodian/groundskeeper for the care of our campus. This position involves interacting with church staff and members and requires understanding and support of our diverse and inclusive culture. The candidate must support our Core Values. The ability to take directions, work without supervision, follow through to meet deadlines, and care for our campus is necessary. We offer flexible hours ~ averaging 30 hours/week.
Requirements:
Building Management (interior/exterior)
· Clean and maintain church buildings (at least weekly, frequency depending on activity schedules)
· Trash and recyclable collection
· Monitor building equipment to determine repairs needed
· Coordinate vendor schedules and/or special projects/events with the office administrator
Grounds Management
· Walk campus grounds daily and address any problem areas
· Mow, edge, weed, and clear walkways/parking areas weekly or as needed
Equipment Management
· Maintain the schedule of required maintenance with the office administrator
· Perform equipment maintenance, as able
Renters Meetings and Special Occasions
· Coordinate daily with the office administrator for building usage
· Clean up and restore all areas after use
· Set-up selected groups, as needed
Other:
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
· Other duties as required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 per week

- Rotating shift
