The successful applicant will be able to collaborate and communicate with all levels of management to provide reporting and critical information to support the strategic initiatives and daily operations of the bank’s business lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Maintain knowledge of standardized department practices, documentation methodologies, and storage procedures, to ensure alignment on overall department objectives.
  • Create analysis and visualization materials for business data, metrics, and measures which allows staff to align and track data against overall business strategies, goals, and objectives driving innovation, insight, and decision making.
  • Design, validate, and schedule queries and reports in various database and reporting environments.
  • Work closely with end users and management to evolve, improve and automate existing data processes.
  • Provide data and support in projects relating to business development, operation, risk and other functional areas.
  • Develop specifications, documentation, and end user materials.
  • Develop core understanding of the business to consult with decision makers and provide recommendations based on knowledge of the data and business needs.
  • Document and map existing and desired business processes, using a consistent process mapping approach.
  • Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SME) to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Deploying Reports, SQL Database Objects and Applications to On-Premises and Cloud Environments.
  • Consolidate issues for further review and develop clear written recommendations that require minimal editing, then presents to and resolves issues with management.
  • Identify and execute appropriate investigative and analytical technologies to interpret and verify results.
  • Complete validation practices with the business end-user to ensure follow-up and resolution of exceptions, including specific individual resolution, root-cause analysis, and control gap identification.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and (4) years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience that includes Business Administration, Mathematics, CS, or Statistical Analytics. Banking Industry experience is preferred.
Other Skills & Requirements
  • Achieve level one certifications within BI environments as defined by the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE).
  • Ability to meet deadlines set-forth by management including, but not limited to; PMO initiatives, Compliance, Regulatory and Executive Mandates.
  • Intermediate experience using Power BI, Power BI API’s and Cmdlets, GitHub, or other business intelligence visualization tools.
  • Strong communication skills while maintaining a high-level of professionalism within the organization.
  • Strong background in Python, SQL syntax, and familiarity with relational database structures as well as API Integrations
  • Knowledge and experience using Git or equivalent source control systems.
  • Highly proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), and one or more of the following database products: MS SQL Server, IBM Netezza, IBM Sailfish, or related products.
  • Must have a good understanding of relational database concepts and strong querying skills.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Kimball Data Warehousing and Star / Snowflake Schemas
Language SkillsAbility to write and communicate reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsMust be able to work with moderate mathematical concepts. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYDefining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
