Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Universal Banker. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent service in a financial setting. Whether it is processing transactions at the teller line or providing guidence on other products and services, the Universal Banker at First National Bank in Taylorville is a primary point of contact for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Open new checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts.
2)Process teller line transactions for customers: deposits, withdrawals, loan transactions, etc.
3) Assist customers with debit card issues and fraud
4) Open IRA accounts and process subsequent transactions
5) Identify cross sell opportunities for bank products
6) Assist in balancing various accounts and/or general ledgers
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Cash handling experience
- Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of banking experience
- Prior knowledge of IRA's a plus
- Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Prior bookkeeping experience
- Lending experience could lead to other opportunities
