First National Bank is Hiring an Investment Operations Specialist Near Ames, IA

Major Function:

Assists Investment Officers with providing exceptional service to the clients of First Point Wealth Management. In collaboration with the Investment Officers, this individual will focus on investment services including developing and implementing asset allocation strategies, executing trades, analyzing investments, monitoring holdings and processing asset transfers. Assists with corresponding with clients to handle investment service questions and preparing reports for client and prospect meetings.

Essential Duties:

  • Monitors, processes, and follows up on asset transfers and on initial and subsequent funding of investment accounts.
  • Implements initial and subsequent asset allocation and rebalances trades.
  • Processes proposal amendments, monitors alerts, and annual reviews.
  • Executes buy or sell orders and rebalancing orders.
  • Follows up on trade rejects and resolves all trade-related issues.
  • Monitors holdings for program eligibility and administering advisory accounts.
  • Participates in "special projects" as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Qualification as a registered representative. (General Securities Representative, Series 7) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated analytical decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, confidentiality.
  • Ability to adhere to company, industry, and regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Work under pressure and perform several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently or in groups.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Hours: Generally works approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
