First Priority Group is a diversified manufacturer, dealer, upfitter and service provider of emergency and specialty vehicles seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support our customers at our Flanders, New Jersey manufacturing facility.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team at the Flanders, New Jersey facility. The Quality Control Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the high standards of our emergency vehicles are consistently met before they leave the production line. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying defects from production plans and collaborating with production and sales teams to maintain the quality of our vehicles.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and functional inspections of emergency vehicles at various stages of the production process.
- Verify that production processes align with approved production plans, specifications, change orders and regulatory requirements.
- Record inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to document and communicate quality issues and resolutions.
- Generate comprehensive reports summarizing inspection findings and provide feedback to the production team.
- Work closely with the production team to address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality control is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the production team.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and processes.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Position will require sitting, walking, standing and crawling under vehicles for 40 hours per week
