Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care within a clinic or hospital setting, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and have experience in various medical procedures, including dermatology and basic life support.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
• Support the administration of medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health information systems.
• Prepare and assist with diagnostic tests, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care delivery.

Requirements

• Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant is required
• Experience in a clinic or hospital setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques is required.
• Familiarity with operating room (OR) procedures is a plus.
• Strong understanding of anatomy to assist in various medical tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams professionally.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
