Develop, maintain, and manage Treasury Management relationships. Will work with the Director of Treasury Management to provide input for growth, product development, call planning, tracking, and reporting. Works independently and through collaboration with internal partners to develop and expand relationships with a focus on small and medium sized companies. Works to achieve assigned sales goals for deposit growth and fee income. Works closely with the Treasury Management Sales Associate to implement new products, training customers, and providing ongoing support of Treasury Management and commercial customers. Partner with Lenders and Officers of the bank to ensure ability to recognize Treasury Management opportunities. Tasks will include reporting through score card monthly, preparing proposals and relationship reviews, and community involvement. Builds partnerships with Deposit Operation/TM Support/Retail and other lines of business.
- Will work closely with bank management to ensure meeting established sales goals and objectives. This will include tracking individual performance as it relates to assigned goals.
- Understanding all Treasury Management products, how they work independently and together.
- Present pricing strategies and product recommendations to clients and prospects.
- Responsible for direct sales to existing customers and prospects as needs are identified, utilizing an active calling strategy.
- Will record activity on FSB’s activity reporting system (CRM).
- Work directly with bank staff to generate referrals and make joint sales calls on both customers and prospects.
- Actively look for other bank opportunities while calling on customers and prospects and make referrals to other bank staff.
- Attend bank and customer related functions to network and further develop business. This will include some evenings and weekends.
- Network with other Financial Institutions and professionals to learn best practices and other products or service opportunities.
- Keep informed of current regulatory requirements.
- Continually monitor market conditions related to interest rate and cost of bank funding.
- Active participation in an AP or Treasury Management professional group.
- Assist with training of Treasury Management products and services to branch personnel and lenders.
- Directly involved in system changes/bank projects related to Business clients.
- Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.
- Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
- 3 years retail banking, treasury management or related experience required.
- Proven business development acumen plus understanding of business practices, cashflow and accounting functions.
- Understanding of treasury management products and their applications with the technical ability to troubleshoot issues and work with bank staff or vendors in resolving those issues.
- Proven communication, interpersonal and management skills.
- Must have good sales, organizational and public relations skills.
- Finance or accounting background helpful showing knowledge of accounting and finance practices.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
