First State Bank is seeking a Wire Transfer Specialist at the West Clay location. If you have experience in a variety of standard accounting practices and administrative duties this may be a good fit for you!

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Wire Transfer Specialist will perform all duties required of this position by following policies and procedures set forth by First State Bank, including, but not limited to:
- Responsible for the input, verification, and release of one-time or recurring domestic and foreign wire transfers through several online banking platforms, or offline when necessary, including but not limited to:
- Process incoming wire transfers when received, posting to the appropriate general ledger or customer account.
- Monitor pending wire transfer lists to ensure input wires are being verified in a timely manner.
- Monitor wire transfers for fraudulent transactions, identifying and researching suspicious activity. Notify the Compliance Department of any suspicious activity and coordinate proper Compliance approval for any filed OFAC wire transfers.
- Set up customer and/or internal notifications of incoming and outgoing wire transfers within the wire transfer platform via email, fax, or hardcopy notice.
- Maintain and monitor wire logs and properly executed wire documentation to comply with Bank policy and audit standards.
- Review fees charged for incoming and outgoing wire transfers, as well as waived fees per management.
- Manage end of day processing of wires for file submission to Core Processor. Ensure all work is completed by processing deadlines daily.
- Monitor the WireXchange system and assist in the implementation of changes as needed.
- Monitor the Bank’s cash position at the Federal Reserve and Bank’s other correspondent accounts on a daily basis to ensure adequate funds are available to cover daily activity and notify management if borrowings are necessary.
- Place cash orders with the Federal Reserve.
- Provide support for all examiner/audit requests for wires. Coordinate the compilation of wire transfer audit requests with the branches and other departments as needed.
- Perform annual (at a minimum) disaster recovery testing on wire transfers, utilizing various backup methods for transmitting wire transfers in a disaster recovery situation and document the results.
- Cross train with other accounting duties.
- Complete all required compliance training and complies with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act, as well as all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years wire transfer processing experience required.
