Position Summary
Fisher's Technology is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assembly Supervisor position on the Distribution Center Team. The Assembly Supervisor oversees the set-up operations of equipment, ensuring that all products are assembled to meet quality standards and production schedules. This role involves supervising set up techs, coordinating workflow, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily set-up and assembly operations, ensuring that tasks are completed according to schedule.
- Collaborate with logistics coordinators to determine assembly priorities and ensure timely completion of projects according to customer requirement.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Prepare and present regular reports on assembly performance, including productivity, quality, and safety metrics, to senior management.
- Assign and monitor work to Set Up Technicians, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to quality standards.
- Address any issues related to product defects or assembly errors and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure that set-up and assembly procedures are followed correctly, and that all equipment meets required specifications.
- Supervise, train and mentor assembly and set-up staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees.
- Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Ensure all set-up and assembly documentation is completed accurately and filed.
- Stay updated with the latest technology and developments with all brands serviced.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues during the assembly process, coordinating with the technical support team as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training to improve technical skills and product knowledge.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of assembly components and tools, coordinating with the purchasing department to avoid shortages or delays in production.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Responsible for assessing and prepping used equipment, loaner, and rental units, and updating status in e-auto.
- Ensure used equipment, loaners, and rental pools are reporting accurately for sales and service.
Requirements
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices, with experience in implementing process improvements.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of copier and printer assembly.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, moving around.
