Fite Building Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ideal candidates will have 5 years of experience in construction project management. This role requires a strong leader who can balance planning, execution, and team coordination to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects.
- Develop and enforce project-specific safety plans while ensuring compliance with company safety policies.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers, to meet project goals.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and owners to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Ensure all construction activities align with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Acquire and manage contracts, purchase orders, permits, submittals, RFI responses, and change orders.
- Proactively address and resolve delays, budget overruns, and on-site challenges.
- Assist in preconstruction and estimating activities, including scope development, budgeting, and proposal preparation.
- Utilize project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) to manage schedules, status reports, change orders, and RFIs.
- Monitor and compare actual costs versus budgets, identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct site visits, hold regular meetings, and ensure all punch lists and closeout documentation are completed.
- Efficiently allocate company labor and other resources to achieve cost-effective project outcomes.
- Drive collections of fees and payments, ensuring adherence to project financial schedules.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field; or 6 years of construction management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years managing construction projects, with industrial project experience preferred.
- Proficiency in construction estimating for assigned projects.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement construction plans and specifications.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and financial accounting systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and government agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
