Our High Point, NC operation has an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our rapidly growing team. The Machine Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of the production line in accordance to customer specification and under direction of the team lead and or manager.

Please note this position is for our Machine Operation - 7:15PM-7:30AM working a 2/2/3 cycle.

Requirements

• Responsible for set-up and preparation of line according to product specifications, set up sheets and line audit sheets as necessary.
• Makes necessary equipment adjustments as required to meet quality standards and production levels.
• Sample material and compare to standard.
• Regularly patrols line for off-standard conditions.
• Records process information on audit sheets and all other reports as required.
• Follows all site safety rules and reports any abnormal or unsafe conditions.
• Make equipment repairs, as directed by supervisor.
• Responsible for housekeeping of line area.
• Assist melt blown operator as needed.
• Report to supervisor any unusual conditions in raw materials.
• Performs all other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Relieve operator for breaks.
• Obtain and transport polymer from storage area to blend area.
• Opens required polymer bales/boxes and feeds blending equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies Required:

• Ability to understand and interpret process settings center lines.
• Ability to use a calculator.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes and production schedules.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and good mechanical abilities.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The position requires frequent lifting, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under extreme temperatures.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Other Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
• Non-woven experience preferred
