What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - 2nd Shift position at Five Star Plastics?
This opening is on our 2nd shift, which runs Monday through Friday 3pm-11pm.
Supply material and components to production and return unused material to inventory. Perform dryer, hopper and color mixer cleaning at changeovers to meet customer delivery requirements.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who works well on their own; is a quick learner; willing to pitch in to help cover areas outside of their own; and a team player.
The Material Handler will be responsible for: Monitoring production to determine changeover schedule; Supplying correct material and components to production; Verify material and components are scanned to correct location; Drying materials in advance to eliminate unnecessary down time; Performing cleaning of dryers at the end of each run; Cleaning color mixers, hoppers and filters at changeovers; Ensuring press and floor are clean at changeover; Returning all unused material and components to inventory; Relieving associates at break times as needed; Running presses as needed; Performing scanning duties; Ensuring all product, tools and accessories are neatly stored; Maintaining supply inventory; Maintaining order and cleanliness of supplies, tools and equipment; Preparing for next shift as if it were your own.
