What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Team Lead – Behavioral Health position at FLACRA?
Job Summary:
In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the Lead Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for balancing leadership responsibilities and direct care. They serve as part of the program leadership team and are the point contact for routine support and training to assigned techs.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid NYS Drivers’ License
- 1 Year experience working in Behavioral Health
Nice to Have Qualifications :
- Associates Degree or Higher Level Education
- Supervisory or managerial experience
Duties:
1. Serve as part of the program leadership team, ensuring communication across the team and implementation of policy/procedures.
2. Provide routine individual support and training to assigned techs, including ensuring clinical supervision/support is occurring at minimum monthly. Weekly Supervisions when needed- ensure coverage for training and supervisions at CR/Otte Hall/Maxwell Hall and ACC with BHT staff.
3. Ensure new staff are trained as well as provide routine reinforcement and retraining as appropriate.
4. Responsible for carrying out treatment planning in milieu.
5. Facilitates activities of daily living, community meetings, and engagement.
6. Assists therapists and primary counselors to intervene to help provide therapeutic interventions to foster residents social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development.
7. Provide transportation for clients to and from treatment related appointments or community activities as needed.
8. Interface with community support systems, agencies and families.
9. Report to immediate supervisor any changes noted in any clients' medical condition, mental, status, or behavior and then document it on the appropriate paperwork when requested.
10. Participate in general, staff, in-service, leadership, and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.
11. Assist clients and assigned techs in addressing issues and challenges by role-modeling appropriated responses.
12. Assist in teaching the clients about personal care, household chores, daily living, community resources and safety awareness.
13. Actively participate with the program team in completing proper daily maintenance of living areas including cleaning and maintaining an orderly environment. Assist with light cleaning.
14. Assist clients with budget, grocery shopping and meal preparation as appropriate to treatment plan level of care.
15. Support client in goal attainment.
16. Assurance of safety and security of all clients, staff and facilities.
17. Residential auditing for monthly reports, RHIO, New Hire check list , Schedule , Incident Follow up.
18. Conduct Residential BHT interviews.
19. Perform other duties and functions as directed.
