SUMMARY
Assists the theatre manager by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays and advertising copy.
Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant, or performs work of subordinates, as needed. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.
Assists in the management of all personnel issues. Maintains written documentation related to all personnel issues.
Responsible for collecting and depositing all cash funds into proper bank accounts.
Responsible for tracking all passes, gift certificate and VIP tickets issued and redeemed on a daily and monthly basis.
Orders inventory and prepares requisitions to replenish inventory on hand.
Assists in the maintenance of the physical plant, including equipment, seating, restrooms, etc., and the documentation of all issues related to the physical plant.
Possesses basic knowledge of projection equipment. Assists the projectionist with routine technical tasks related to film product.
Addresses customer inquiries and/or complaints.
Locks and secures theatre.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages Staff Supervisors and a total of 10-50 staff employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers and/or employees of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; effectively evaluate when to act independently, delegate responsibility and/or request assistance. Ability to complete all such tasks in a timely manner.
COMPUTER SKILLS Ability to operate computerized ticketing and concession system; knowledge of basic software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic mail.
