POSITION: Warehouse Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
Position Summary
Assist with managing warehouse operations including coordinating and directing receiving and shipping (distribution). Ensure that Company, operational, and personnel programs, policies, and procedures are adhered to and maintained.
Essential Functions
- Ensure day-to-day warehouse functions are completed, safely and accurately.
- Ensure staff are properly trained in warehouse responsibilities and equipment operation.
- Control and manage inventory levels; reconcile with ERP system.
- Ensure and verify inventory adjustments are completed accurately.
- Maintain storage area and racking systems by organizing floor space and adhering to storage design principles; recommend improvements.
- Identify best practices for warehouse management; continuously evaluate performance of warehouse functions to optimize effectiveness.
- Adhere to and operate within the department budget.
- Assist with department strategy development for continuous improvement in safety, operations, and food safety/quality.
- Ensure forklifts and related equipment are kept in optimal working order by enforcing proper operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA, FDA, and GFSI standards and regulations; assist with internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of products manufactured in the facility.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or at least 1 year of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift Certification.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing modules including MRP, MPS, and WMS preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent skills in the areas of teamwork, motivation, decision making, relationship building and coaching.
