Job Function and Responsibilities :
The Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Superintendent will be responsible for maintaining project safety, developing and updating the project schedule utilizing computerized scheduling software, preparing two-week look ahead schedules, assisting with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors, supervising all onsite MEP sub-contractors, communicating effectively with owners/designers/engineers, and maintaining accurate cost reports.
Job Requirements:
- Must have completed at least 2 or more High-Rise projects as an MEP Superintendent, preferably in the Miami area.
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related field a plus
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as other basic computer skills
- Solid presentation and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines
- Ability to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/orchestrate multiple activities to accomplish desired results
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability and willingness to face challenges, provide direction to others, and effectively address conflict.
Description:
- Plan, assign, and coordinate project work with various MEP sub-contractors to ensure continuous project workflow.
- Advise senior level superintendent or project manager of potential problems and assist in resolution.
- Monitor work performance and productivity of craft sub-contractors as assigned to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
- Maintain accountability for all MEP project functions including resources, budget, and schedule.
- Ensure all project work is completed in accordance with specifications, schedule, and safety.
