Position Overview:
This job involves overseeing accounting operations, including supervising staff, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and handling monthly reconciliations and reports. Responsibilities include managing month-end entries, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring timely tax filings. Additionally, the position includes staff training, reviewing branch transactions for accuracy, maintaining effective communication across departments, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provides staff training and development.
- Supervise staff and ensure all daily processing desks are completed on a daily basis.
- Ensure all month-end accruals and other regular entries are posted and in the general ledger before closing.
- Verify the credit union cash totals and ensure that all teller work has been balanced and processed correctly.
- Review the member voucher debits/credits, the vault to/from, and cash totals to ensure that the appropriate balancing has occurred at the teller/branch level.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and three years’ related experience and/or training in a business/financial environment.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A current driver’s license.
