Relationships at work begin with hiring top people in our industry. We are seeking someone with experience and a collaborative spirit to lead the premium audit department. You will manage and develop your audit team and department procedures. This position reports to the VP, Underwriting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages and leads the employees in the department
- Develops employees, growing their skills and knowledge in premium audit
- Assigns and manages workloads
- Strong knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and consistent in applying these rules.
- Ensures that the calculations of earned premium for insured risks are accurate and complete
- Conducts audits as needed and is the key contact for audit disputes
- Maintains high levels of customer service standards throughout the operational territory
- Ensures that the team meets performance targets
- Other assignments as directed by the VP of Underwriting
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of related premium audit experience
- 1-3 years of related leadership experience
- APA (Associate in Premium Auditing) certification preferred
