Summary :
The Regional Academic Program Manager (Online Programs) supervises assigned programs and departments and all relevant courses and services as a subject matter expert for or program credentialed to teach. The main tasks will be concentrated in five areas : Teaching, Student Retention, Curriculum, Accreditation, and Learning Assessment Processes. This includes teaching and demonstrations in the classroom, laboratory setting, blended or online according to program objectives and course syllabi, assessing student skills, and supervising students in externship or capstone courses. They support the campus and programs assigned to support students in the online academic programs. They drive the institutional effectiveness indicators (Key performance indicators), helping to meet and exceed goals set for retention, certification, graduation, and placement. The Regional Academic Program Manager develops daily lesson plans as teaching guidelines based on the approved curriculum and ensures all course learning goals are met. Regional Academic Program Managers are Full-Time, exempt, and directly accountable to the Dean or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Minimum requirements :
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program. Doctorate in Nursing or a related field is preferred
Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Florida. Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification through the National League for Nursing (NLN) is preferred.
A combination of work experience and / or required credentials in the field they will teach : preferably 3 years of work experience in the field and 2 years teaching or training experience
Essential Duties :
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert or Program Champion through the course development process in collaboration with NUC's course development team
Prepare, plan, and teach the assigned courses on rotation to stay within the required teaching load per module, term, or quarter by adhering to instructor guidelines described in the Faculty Handbook
Provides student support throughout their experience by offering advising, tutoring, and referral services as needed
Meet or exceed monthly and annual program outcomes, including but not limited to retention, placement, certifications, monthly benchmarks, and yearly goals. Including 70% or at standard or plan established for the programs assigned; drives improvement in student academic progress (monitoring and impacting student persistence, driving down attrition, final grades advising, academic support) and contributing to student population goals and budget (including laddering and reentries)
Monitors all course-learning objectives, including completion of required courses and student learning outcomes using academic reports & assessments
Monitors daily student attendance within the program and provides necessary measures to ensure attendance, engagement, and retention (minimum 70%) benchmarks
Provides active support to the college administration (Dean or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs) to help achieve the goals and objectives related to attrition, placement, certifications, reentry, & laddering benchmarks, and annual outcomes
Ensures program operations, personnel, facilities, and curriculum comply with state, accreditation, and programmatic regulatory bodies
Recommends resources or changes for the online / educational resource center per accrediting requirements
Assists Academic Department with New Faculty Hiring, Orientation, Training Sessions, classroom observations, and monthly instructor class assignments
Recommends all field trips, guest speakers, and other informational or industry current events to the Academic or Associate Dean
Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and certification, state and federal guidelines related to the program
Supports the Associate Deans / Deans to ensure compliance with all program courses' midterm and final grade posting processes
Follows procedures and adheres to school policies, including keeping accurate records of student advising and behavioral incidents (if applicable)
Responsible for active student participation in monthly student and externship surveys for programmatic assessment
Collaborates and participates in all relative program Advisory Board Meetings and recommends timely curriculum and educational resources revisions
Maintains an inventory of supplies, equipment, and resources for program and process orders as needed and if applicable
Conducts one program meeting with faculty per month to review curriculum, retention, and program outcomes and assessments
Participates and maintains Annual Professional Development Plan for In-service and Professional Development and assists with collecting PD documents for other faculty within the department
Provides expertise & management of programs certifications or licenses for students by ordering, tracking, and assessing sit and pass rates
Works on special projects as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs or Associate Dean
