Floral Designer

We are looking for a creative, fun, energetic, and responsible person to join our team!

Duties

• Design and produce fresh floral arrangements by following design recipes
• Process floral stock and ensure freshness and cleanliness of cooler
• Meet customer specifications by discussing clients needs regarding price and type of arrangements desired, e.g., holiday.
• Accurately use computer based point of sale system to enter and review customer orders
• Plan floral arrangements by following clients' requirements and budgets; utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials.
• Complete arrangements by selecting flora and foliage; trimming materials; arranging bouquets, sprays, wreaths, dish gardens, terrariums, and other items.
• Retail potted seasonal plants by arranging displays in shop; tagging retail pricing.
• Maintain cleanliness and seasonal displays in shop floor area
• Assist in quick deliveries as needed

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Proven floral design experience or the ability to learn design techniques quickly and effectively
• Ability to stand, walk, and complete general tasks during an entire work day while on your feet (9 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Available to work 33-40 hours weekly, and the full 8:30am-5:30pm daily shift
• Available to work Saturdays
• Available to work occasional events off site that may be outside
• Available to work extended hours on holidays and days leading up to the holidays, sometimes including Sundays
• Communication and customer service skills
• Quick learner
• Artistic, creative and detail-oriented
• Be able to handle minor cuts or scratches from working with sharp flower cutting tools or from flowers with thorns
• Bilingual: English/Spanish - not a requirement, but a strong plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Davenport, FL 33837: Relocate before starting work (Required)
