3PL Truck freight Sales Exec: Raleigh, NC (REMOTE)
A leading transportation company is looking for a Truck Freight Sales Exec, to sell their transportation services to local companies in the Raleigh area. The Transporation 3PL Truck Freight Sales Exec. develops, secures, grows, and maintains revenue and margin for the corporation, for their designated accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationships – Develop and maintain relationships via face-face- sales calls on all assigned accounts, including appropriate entertainment as approve by Sales Management. Penetrate accounts at multiple levels within their organization to include the executive level. The 3PL Truck Freight Sales Exec will build relationships with potential future accounts.
- Sales Plans & Strategy – Develop and implements sales plans for primary accounts to achieve specified revenue and margin goals. Strategy and planning will be reviewed and approved at the Division Sales Management level. The 3PL Truck Sales Exec will review and be responsible for effectively managing the process and final submission. You track and assures the profitability of assigned accounts. You also review date monthly for purchase transportation, contribution margin, dales sales outstanding, pricing compliance, etc.
· Sales Research – Conducts market research and analysis in uncovering new potential business. With the review & approval of Sales Management, accounts may be dropped or added by following established procedure.
· Sales Systems – Maintain CRM systems to accurately reflect territory activity, contact information and opportunities. Work extensively with MS Office suite of services so you can present and share information both internally and externally.
Job Requirements:
- 7 years' 3PL truck freight sales experience
- B.A. degree preferred (Masters' strongly desired).
- Ability to overnight travel up to 50%.
- Prior healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred.
- Proven ability to sell and service specific vertical markets.
- Corporate or National Account Transportation Sales.
Preferred Experience:
- Premium Transportation Service
- Proficiency with MS Office suite of services
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Advanced Territory Management skills preferred.
- Effective collaboration skills
- Fiscal accountability
Pay/Benefits:
- Pay Range - $80K - $100K
- Quarterly Bonuses – based on territory goals & individual performance.
- Mileage reimbursement - .65.5 cents per mile
