Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge in the podiatry specialty and detailed understanding of insurance carriers.
Responsibilities include managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and submission of claims to insurance companies, and maintaining compliance with medical billing regulations.
This role requires a strong understanding of insurance carries, resolving claims in portals, podiatry coding, and the ability to navigate various medical office systems effectively.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit denied claims to insurance companies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to medical billing and collections.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct follow-ups on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding practices, and insurance policies.
- Collaborate with other departments within the medical office to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT and ICD-10), and medical records management.
- Familiarity with various medical office systems and software used for billing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for reviewing patient information accurately.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and insurance representatives professionally.
Experience
- Medical Billing : 2 year (Required)
- Preferred : CPC Certified
