JOB SUMMARY
We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Mechanical Engineer to become an integral part of our MEP team. We are searching for a candidate who has a track record of tangible achievements and success within the MEP design sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead mechanical design (HVAC and plumbing) on projects and provide system design calculations and other related design services.
- Design and develop mechanical systems ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
- Conduct thorough analysis of mechanical designs using appropriate software.
- Advise clients regarding mechanical & plumbing systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs into final products.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for engineering projects.
- Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
- Evaluate deliverables and make recommendations for qualified resource needs.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design process.
- Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in buildings-related design projects.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing equipment design, IMC, and IPC codes.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
