What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Travel Technician position at Form 10 Group?
About Form 10: Form 10 is a veteran owned IT services provider located in Tampa, FL. We provide nationwide Field Service and Deployment assistance, supporting private sector and government offices.
For this specific role, we are in search of technicians that can travel in state and out of state to deploy workstations and related equipment in government offices nationwide.
This is a 1099—contractor role, so all travel expenses will be paid for, aside for per diem.
Technicians will be working full-time during the duration of a project. This role is project-to-project availability.

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside other technicians or independently during deployments or field maintenance roles.
- Accurately submit and complete inventories and reporting.
- Utilizes the ConnectWise software to track stages of active tickets.
- Accurately submit travel expenses weekly.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager to ensure all duties are being completed.
- Affective and strong communication skills with customers to ensure the solution of any outgoing issue.
- Availability to work on—site in our Tampa Warehouse or respond to Field Service calls if needed.
- Ability to use a ladder, stand long periods, crawl, and lift at least 50lbs.
- Ability to drive a 16 ft to 26 ft truck.
- Familiarity with basic power tools such as drills, hammer drills, impact drills, etc.
- Proficiency in re-imaging, troubleshooting, and configuring systems.
- Use knowledge of Windows 10 and PC hardware experience to assist with deployments and resolve outgoing issues.
- Willingness to travel on short notice.
- Able to work well with hand tools.
- Friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to follow directions and strong follow up.
- Proven good judgment and proactive decision-making skills.
Requirements:
- Sole U.S Citizenship (dual does not meet requirement)
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to pass extensive background tests
- Active Directory and Hard Drive Imaging are also preferred.
- Travel 100%, working on—site.
- Ability to be away from home during the duration of projects.
- Comfortable staying in hotels during the duration of projects.
- Access to a personal laptop.
- A Certifications preferred.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
