Role:
To assist in directing the operations of a Fort McClellan Credit Union branch, aiding the branch manager in meeting organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans. Empowers, trains, and motivates branch team to successfully accomplish their goals and offer an exceptional member experience.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
-Trains new branch team members; monitors work schedules and performance of designated team members.
-Monitors branch office operations to ensure that security procedures are being followed and that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
-Reviews documents prepared by subordinate personnel, such as new membership applications and safe deposit vault entry and exit records to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
-Removes, counts, and records cash from automated teller machine and teller cash recycler machines.
-Explains services to potential consumer and business account members to generate additional business and to promote positive public relations.
-Assists subordinate personnel in balancing daily transactions; examine, evaluate, and process loan applications in absence of subordinate personnel.
-Resolves account-related concerns with members.
-Evaluates all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies, procedures, and objectives; recommends changes to manager.
-Manages branch office in absence of manager.
-Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills:
Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
