Foster Logistics is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative Team Lead for the Lima, OH, Hanthorn Road operation. This position is responsible for ensuring that proper policies and procedures are instituted and maintained with respect to all aspects of the company involving office procedures, including assisting with customer invoicing, assistance in credit and collections, production scheduling on inbound and outbound orders, order entry, and customer relations, while performing all the tasks of a Customer Service Representative.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this role are as follows:
  • Reviews daily shipment schedule and in discussion with other customer service representatives, plans and prioritizes daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements. Alerts team members to any notations for special loading configuration or customer delivery requirements.
  • Assists customer service representatives in the solution of problems.
  • Receives customer requests for orders via email, fax, EDI, or customer terminal and promptly processes orders for distribution to warehouse personnel.
  • Assists in answering the phone, truck speaker, and customer emails.
  • Data entry into the appropriate system.
  • Assists with EDI, invoicing, inventory, daily/month-end reporting requirements, and other requests made by our customers.
  • Assists in the monthly ongoing training requirements.
  • Recommend to the Customer Service Supervisor or Warehouse Supervisor possible changes to policies and procedures to be followed by the customer service department and ensure that these are followed when implemented by the company.
  • Assist in setting up new EDI customers.
  • Maintain accurate information as to the customers’ inventory. Assist with monthly cycle counts.
  • Help to report to management team any supplies needed for office areas.
