Account Servicing Recovery Specialist Description & Duties:
The Account Servicing Recovery Specialist will handle routine Account Servicing outbound or inbound calls at any stage of delinquency, up to and including Pre-Charge off and the Recovery Area. Primary responsibilities are recovery collections, customer servicing, and other loss mitigation and recovery activities. Contacts delinquent or high-risk customers in order to secure payment and determine reason for delinquency. Collector will work an established assigned list of accounts, and work with customers to establish full balance repayment plans or negotiate settlements.
This person must have a greater depth of understanding of collections and recovery organization, with an emphasis on properly handling settlements and legal/tax notifications. Must also negotiate more complex payments programs or arrangements with minimal guidance while staying within the collection compliance guidelines. Must be able to work towards individual goals, while also contributing to, and being an advocate for the overall team goal.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Contacts past-due and charged off customers to obtain payment.
- Resolve issues in compliance with company policies.
- Answer routine account servicing questions and process payments.
- Handle complex Post Charge-Off recovery issues including bankruptcies, foreclosures, and deceased accounts.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by Management.

Pay Range
USD $20.00 - USD $23.75 /Hr.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, communication or marketing; or an Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience in recovery collections or a highly regulated, related field preferred.
- One late shift required and one weekend every 5 weeks.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Internet software.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
