Overview

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in a non-acute environment. Provides care in accordance with organizational policies, and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice, utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. Is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. Utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data, plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC) has provided state-of-the-art medical services to the Fairbanks Community and Interior Alaska for over 50 years. TVC is a 60-provider multi-specialty group. Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00

Responsibilities

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid current or temporary Alaska LPN license. Requires the knowledge and skills normally demonstrated by an Associate’s degree in nursing. BLS certification is required. May require ACLS, PALS, or additional certification and/or continuing education based on area of practice.

Requires creative thinking, prioritizing, and flexible problem solving skills. Also requires the ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
