Our mission is to create advanced robots that can operate in complex environments, reducing human risk in conflict zones and enhancing efficiency in labor-intensive industries.

We are on the lookout for extraordinary engineers and scientists to join our team. Your previous experience in robotics isn"t a prerequisite — it"s your talent and determination that truly count.

We expect that many of our team members will bring diverse perspectives from various industries and fields. We are looking for individuals with a proven record of exceptional ability and a history of creating things that work.

All positions are based in San Francisco.

Our Culture

We like to be frank and honest about who we are, so that people can decide for themselves if this is a culture they resonate with. Please read more about our culture here https : / / foundation.bot / culture .

Who should join :

  • You like working in person with a team in San Francisco.
  • You want to work 7 days a week.
  • You deeply believe that this is the most important mission for humanity and needs to happen yesterday.
  • You are highly technical - regardless of the role you are in. We are building technology; you need to understand technology well.
  • You care about aesthetics and design inside out. If it"s not the best product ever, it bothers you, and you need to fix it.
  • You don"t need someone to motivate you; you get things done.

Why We Are Hiring for This Role :

  • To support the scaling of our manufacturing process for humanoid robots and actuators.
  • Ensure proper assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems in robots and manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly to maintain high efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Play a critical role in validating electrical designs and ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Enable smooth integration of electrical systems into manufacturing workflows as we scale production from prototypes to multiple units per week.
  • What Kind of Person We Are Looking For :

  • Strong background in assembling, wiring, and testing complex electrical systems.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic components, including actuators, sensors, and circuit boards.
  • Experience with industrial automation and control systems, including PLCs and HMIs, is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Meticulous approach to maintaining high-quality standards and safety compliance in electrical work.
  • Proactive and resourceful in diagnosing and fixing electrical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with cross-disciplinary teams to address manufacturing and product challenges.
  • Comfortable working on the factory floor, assembling and troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to the evolving needs of a growing manufacturing operation.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrical technician or similar role, preferably in robotics, industrial automation, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Certification or technical training in electrical systems or electronics is highly desirable.
  • This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our manufacturing processes, helping us scale efficiently and deliver high-quality robots to customers.
  • Benefits

We provide market standard benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k, etc.). Join us for the culture and the mission, not for the benefits.
